Outdoor Advertising With Custom Vinyl Banners

One of the least expensive ways to effectively reach a huge number of people is to advertise outside in places with a high volume of traffic. Outdoor banners are a great way for you business to get noticed by people locally without breaking the bank.

Location, Location, Location

Where your ad is located is just as important as what’s on it. I know this sounds like it's a given, but it's simply that important. You can have the coolest eye catching billboard, but if it's on a highway with no one on it what’s the point? If you want your banner or sign to be effective it has to be where the people are. Maximize your resources if you’re opening a new store that is in a busy shopping center; get a big red vinyl banner that screams GRAND OPENING SALE!! You’re already in a high foot traffic area. Take advantage of it.

The Layout

Once you have figured out where you’re going to hang your banner then it's time to start designing it. For large advertisements remember that less is more when it comes to text. Your banner should look more like a business card than a sales sheet. Limit yourself to only essential information like your logo, phone number, address, etc. Don't be afraid of color. The louder the color the more people are going to notice your banner.

I know we already hit on the importance of text when it comes to overall design, but there are a few more things that should be taken into account. The single most important thing is to make it easy for potential customers to find you. Make your content legible from a distance, use high contrast letters and backgrounds combinations to make them pop. Also I can’t stress it enough, keep the text to a minimum. You don't need to put every product on your banner or product descriptions for every item you have in stock. Your banner should be an attention grabber.
