What Is A Proof ?

A proof is a copy of the final file that is sent to you before your job is printed to ensure that all of your text, graphics, and colors are going to come out the way you expect them too. There are a couple of different proofs that you can get:

  1. Prepress proofs simulate your final piece by using ink jets, dyes and other methods.

  2. Press Proofs uses the actual plates and inks specific to your job.  This is the most accurate way to proof your work but it's also the most expensive option. It's recommended to only use this method when the accuracy is absolutely necessary and your budget will allow it.
